I am Stav, a student at the Bezalel Academy of Art and Design in Jerusalem.
I grew up in a kibbutz in northern Israel, where fashion was not a priority. We wore hand-me-downs and whatever was practical. However, I was always fascinated by the way people dressed. I saw clothes as more than just a way to cover our bodies. They are a form of self-expression and can be used to communicate messages about who we are and what we believe in.
My passion for fashion continued to grow as I got older. I became a dancer, fitness instructor, and Pilates teacher. I traveled the world and lived in the United States for a time. Throughout it all, I never stopped sketching and designing in my sketchbooks and notebooks.
Finally, I decided to pursue my dream of becoming a fashion designer. I moved to Jerusalem and enrolled at Bezalel Academy. I am now in my final year of studies, and I am excited to start my career.
I'm particularly interested in the history of dress from a socio-economic point of view and fascinated by the way fashion can be used to analyze and understand Western culture.
I'm dreaming about finding a workplace that will challenge me to use new technologies to create clever and more sustainable fashion.
