All the chess pieces were designed with illustrator and were laser cut.

After a comprehensive sanding for each piece and everything being glued, a brass pipe was inserted into the chess pieces to add stability and weight to the center.

Although the decision on the differences between the soldiers was primarily aesthetic, a situation arose where my chess set became an accessible game for blind people, not only the pieces but also the board itself. A side effect I am very pleased with.
